[WoW Music Video] Metallica - One [WoW Machinima]

This video is the product of about 15 hours of recording and editing, along with about 40 hours of rendering and touch-ups.

For those not familiar with the song One by Metallica, it details the life of Joe Bohnam, the main character from the book and movie Johnny Got his Gun. After an artillery shell takes his legs, arms, eyes, mouth, nose, and ears, Joe lives out the rest of life trapped inside his own mind, only being able to communicate via morse code by tapping his head.

This video is my own take on the music video done entirely with WoW assets. All characters and animations where recorded in the WoW Model Viewer program, and all background videos and photos came from inside the game. This was edited and compiled in Adobe After Effects. Obvioulsy, with no way to lip-sync or create custom animations, syncing a band with music is quite hard to do, so I focus mainly on the downbeats of each section. Its not perfects, but it gets the job done.
