To celebrate the one-year anniversary of our very first Ragnaros kill, we had decided to break our own speed record in Molten Core. Our record was 1h40m.
We ended up much better than that. We completely smashed our old record and broke the current World Record, held by tAD (http://warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=19255), and beat The Axemen's famous 70-minutes run (http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=15460). We ended up with the time 57 minutes and 44 seconds.
Darkmoon Fair and Hakkar buffs where used, as well as the regular damage boost potions and elixirs. Quite a few peeps used Flasks, but not all. We failed to aquire the Onyxia buff, since the head was already up in Stormwind.
The gear of the raid consisted of everything between a few tier1, lots of tier2, many tier2.5 and quite a few tier3 from early Naxx. In addition, one of the best geared druids was offline for almost the entire raid, so we should've replaced him with some dps, but we didn't.
Of course the gear makes the difference, but this wouldn't have been possible without everyone focusing on the task and keep the concetration up for a whole hour.
The one frapsing and editing this movie was Dargon of Illuminators, Tarren Mill. He's therefor also the one responsible for the early disconnect before Lucifron. He missed about 2-3 minutes of the action. If he'd aggroed a dog or something, this all would've been wasted since we wouldn't have had anything to support our record.
Anyways, enjoy. Any further questions may be asked here, and I'll be sure to answer them as fast as possible..
