After the new patch talent and spell revamps done on the paladin, paladins have emerged as competitive tank with respects to warriors. However, many people still scoff at the idea of a paladin tanking in raids. So, for fun, some friends and I decided to run a 5 man ubrs with a protection paladin as the main tank. This video is the result of that impromptu run.

With this video i hope that paladin tanking is very convincing, as well as illustrating its strengths as well as its weaknesses. Although we ran out of time to kill Drakk, the video includes a tier 2 (no defense based stats) paladin tanking 3, sometimes 4, elite mobs with ease in the pulls leading to drakk as well as tanking bosses. Also salvation was used for no encounters, further displaying the power of the aggro generation of paladins.

Some things regarding paladin tanking i hope this video illustrates:
- warriors have better damage mitigation then paladins, through talents and gear, hopefully which will be addressed in TBC
- paladins can hold multiple mobs with greater ease then warriors
- paladins tank by doing damage, the more the merrier
- Paladins establish aggro quickly because aggro generation is increased by readily available spell damage gear
- Fear kills paladins for tanking
