After the Yakuza and Judgment series, Ryû Go Gotoku Studio has finally given a title to its new IP, which will be called Stranger than Heaven. The adventure will take place in two distinct periods, 1915 and 1943, and we can't wait to find out more. As SEGA has provided us with a downloadable version of last night's 4K trailer, we're delighted to share it with you!

Not only did Capcom confirm the 2026 release of Pragmata at Sony's Sate of Play a couple of days ago, they also announced Resident Evil Requiem tonight, but they didn't stop there. Indeed, we were also offered a brand new trailer for the eagerly-awaited Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The downloadable 4K version being available on the website, you know what to do.

To close the two-hour Summer Game Fest opening conference, Geoff Keighley brought out the heavy artillery with Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth episode in Capcom's great saga. It's not all though, as we were even given the release date, February 27, 2026. Next year is going to be pretty busy for the Japanese publisher with Pragmata and Onimusha: Way of the Sword also planned for release.

The Summer Game Fest is underway, and in the two hours of today's online conference we were treated to a few new announcements, including a few sequels of course, such as a certain Resident Evil Requiem. Big games, independent titles, there was a bit of everything, and we'll let you make your own selection from the (not entirely exhaustive) list that follows. Don't hesitate to share the games we left out.

Deprived of an Internet connection due to some intervention on the fiber network of my neighborhood, an unfortunate situation which could last for a while, I almost missed the “presentation” of The Witcher 4 at the State of Unreal event, which was supposed to showcase the incredible qualities of the engine. Despite all the staging, with a CDProjekt RED developer and his DualSense in hand, the technical demo presented was not a real gameplay sequence, but we were nonetheless perplexed by the promises made. Supposedly running on a standard PlayStation 5, the game's image quality, level of detail and fluidity have never been seen before in a Unreal Engine 5 game (open world or not), even on a €3,000-plus PC. So let's be frank: we don't believe for a second that we'll be able to enjoy this level of quality on today's machines, unless some incredible sleight of hand or astonishing optimizations have been made to UE5, even more so as the released games running on UE5 are still struggling to convince on consoles. There is of course the possible exception of Hellblade 2, but it only runs at 30 fps on Xbox Series X and offers a very linear experience. The animation work alone in the clips we see in this technical demo seems like science fiction to us. Can you imagine The Witcher 4 surpassing GTA 6 in every possible way from a technical standpoint? Does it seem plausible to you?

For once, rather than talking about games, we're going to take a few minutes of your time to talk about the arrival of a long-awaited service on the Steam Deck. So, no videos on the menu today, but a few Gamersyde images (in 800p, obviously, keep in mind that the games look a lot more impressive on the Deck) and a short article to share our feedback on our experience. Enjoy your reading!

After our Braking Point coverage on Saturday, it's time to take a closer look at the F1 25 experience. Check out the gameplay video of the game we recorded on Xbox Series X, this time showcasing the five tracks freshly laser-scanned using LIDAR technology and one of the three reversed tracks. If we manage to get a PS5 or PC code, we'll be back with more footage, but for the time being, it'll be all.

A few days ago, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy was finally released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in an Enhanced version featuring four distinct graphics modes. On PS5 and Series X, you'll find the classic Quality and Performance modes, which run at 30 and 60 fps respectively, in resolutions that oscillate between 4K for the former and 1755p (at best, this can drop to around 1350p) for the latter. Note that the image displayed on PS5 Pro, which is the version you'll see in our long video, logically offers better image quality, with a resolution that varies between 1800p and 4K in Performance mode. You also have two other choices, with a Balanced mode (40 fps and resolution fluctuating between 2016p and 4K on PS5 and Series X, 4K for the Pro) and an Ultra Performance mode (120 fps, between 1170p and 1440p for standard consoles and 1440p on Pro). The Series S logically loses the Ultra Performance mode, but the other three are still present. Of course, image quality is affected compared to other machines (Quality mode is 30 fps / 1440p, Performance mode is 60 fps / 864p-1080p and Balanced is 40 fps 1188p-1440p).

As part of our video preview coverage of F1 25, we've been authorized to share with you some excerpts from the first two chapters of the new season of Braking Point. After a quick recap of past events, we meet up with the now-familiar characters for a new championship but don't worry if you're afraid of spoilers, we're only revealing the very beginning of the adventure, giving you the chance to discover a few cutscenes and three circuits only. From what we've been able to see, the premise is rather engaging, but remains in line with the two previous seasons of this story-driven mode. It's sometimes possible to select your driver at the start of the chapter (this is the case for the first one, with the choice between Aiden Jackson and Callie Mayer), we're also entitled to post-race interview sessions (which increase your reputation with the press for example), but also to a bit of management thanks to passages through Casper Akkerman's office. It's nothing revolutionary per se but it's still undeniably effective, so we can't wait to see what happens next, all the more so as the handling and driving model are excellent as ever, with a top-notch sensation of speed.

Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)
