*I STRONGLY RECOMMEND DOWNLOADING THE MOVIE OR USING
WEGAME STREAM, THE QUALITY IS A LOT HIGHER.*
This is a movie purely made for entertainment purposes
and you shouldn't watch this if you are looking for
extreme skills and amazing coordination. If you don't
want to watch the movie because of that then don't read
further.
There are some tips for the comps in the movie but they
are very rough and you need to improvise a lot because
a lot of stuff changes during the games.
I respecced from Ret to Protret to try it out and it
works fairly well albeit Ret seems to work a little
better because of the healing and HoF removing stuns
and such.
The teams we face are 2100-2500 MMR and the games we
play are only during one night of playing so there is not
much variety, I made this movie to see if people would
find it entertaining and worth watching so if you think
I should make another one with more time put into it
then please say so in the comments or message me on
ArenaJunkies under the name Retlol.
The combo we play is Protret/Arms warr and it's a very
weak comp when it comes to mages in general and hunters.
Because of this, and the small amount of time I recorded
in there will be a lack of mages and hunters. I will try
and get some better recordings of those if people find
the movie enjoyable.
Unless you want to know the macros I use, please proceed
and go watch the movie. Enjoy.
Macros for the paladin:
These are the macros I use but I will add some more macros
in the end that I can recommend.
#showtooltip Cleanse
/cast [target=name] Cleanse
Cleanses whose name you put in the "name" part of the macro.
Saves a lot of unnessecary targetting time.
#showtooltip Flash of Light
/target targettarget
/cast Flash of Light
/targetlasttarget
Not very useful for protret but I find myself using it often
as retri. It casts Flash of Light on whoever your target is
targetting. If you are targetting a rogue and he targets your
team mate, then this macro will heal your team mate without
you having to change target. I use this macro because I can't
find enough binds to bind Flash of Light to all my team members.
#showtooltip Hand of Freedom
/cast [target=name] Hand of Freedom
Casts HoF whose name you put in the "name" part of the macro.
Saves a lot of unnessecary targetting time.
#showtooltip Hand of Salvation
/cast [target=player] Hand of Salvation
Useful if you use the glyph for HoS. Casts HoS on yourself
without having to target / select yourself with the spell.
#showtooltip Hand of Sacrifice
/target targettarget
/cast Hand of Sacrifice
/targetlasttarget
Works the same way as Flash of Light albeit a little more crucial
to have bound to each of your team members, the only reason I
don't is because I can't find enough binds for it. Has the same
effect as the Flash of Light macro but I recommend binding this
to each team member with separate macros like the HoF one.
Ex: You go for the priest, he targets their mage, you see you are
getting sheeped and because the priest isn't targetting your team
member you are going to have to select him manually and it will
take too much time.
#showtooltip Sacred Shield
/target targettarget
/cast Sacred Shield
/targetlasttarget
Very useful macro, same effect as Flash of Light macro and HoSa.
Prevents more damage than one might think and I find it very
useful to reapply unless they have a very offensive dispeller.
Then it will not be worth the mana.
#showtooltip Hand of Protection
/cast [target=name] Hand of Protection
Does the same as the HoF macro but with HoP.
