Hey guys, so the season came to an end before I was really able to score some solid 2.5k+ gameplay so I decided to make more of a preview video to the one I will make in S8. I did my best to take comments from my first video (yaka1) and improve upon the areas that people did not care for. The main changes were to my UI and the rating of the teams that I show. I did what I could to clean up my UI so it would be more appealing and less congested to those watching. I also did what I could to limit the games that I showed to teams 2.4k+. I did not focus too much on the editing this time around, that will come next season when I have more time to spend on a video. I just wanted to throw this one out there to see if people see the improvement in the UI/playstyle.
Movie includes an intro/trailer and three different games. First is a 2.5k dk/pal, second was 2.4k sham/rogue (tricky comp because of the interrupts), and last was a 2.6k rogue/druid (we had a terrible opener-mid game, but finished strong)
Songs were as follows (I tried to be a little more original with this one, tell me what you thought!): Genesis from Justice, Waters of Nazareth from Justice, Anthem 4 Pipe Dreams from Air Gear, and Welcome Home from Coheed and Cambria.
Addons: Gladius, Afflicted (right hand side), DR tracker (with afflicted), Purgeatory and spell lock (interrupt/dispel announcer), Shadowed Unit Frames. Those are the most important ones.
Edit: To clear up some confusion. This movie was originally intended to be a full-length movie, but the season ended and I did not have enough material to work with (three games of teams between 2400 and 2600) so I decided to turn it in to a sort of taste tester for next season. The intro could be considered the actual "trailer" for next season and the three games are very lightly edited examples of our gameplay. I figured it would be a waste not to show them and I thought it would be a good opportunity to get some feedback on my new UI and gameplay. My pickings were slim, so I apologize that the clips were slower and not sufficiently edited, but seeing that the next season is coming up so quickly, I did not have a lot of time to do more editing on them with school/work etc.
What to expect:
- An intro that seconds as a trailer to next season and three games of example gameplay.
- Affliction PvP, yes it is slower and very hard to follow so this is aimed at those who can enjoy it. If you don't understand it or are expecting fast pace/quick kill games then this may not be for you.
- I make these movies because there are not a lot of afflock PvP videos and I found that (from the few that I found while learning to PvP) they can be very helpful. Also, because it offers another perspective to those not used to this kind of gameplay.
- While we are not the best (or even close to being the best) I assure you that we are not bad, so look closer and try to understand the games inter-workings if you are having a hard time following it.
