This is an old bug, but most people do not know how to do it properly. Well here is a step-by-step guide on how exactly to do it and get out of netherwing ledge. It is really cool to be summoned to dalaran by a lock with the mount or anywhere in northrend (outside ICC) and then show it off in Dalaran!
