Movie Summary
Gear: R11 blues, WSG/AV exalted
Weapons: Lobo, Scout's Blade
Build: 5/21/25
This is basically a sister movie to the last one. Same spec, same gear. The build is 5/21/25 and IMO it is a very strong 'open' PvP build. The type of build that can overcome getting snared/rooted multiple times in the same engagement due to both prep and improved sprint. It is NOT the best 1v1 build, not even close. Nothing beats the burst dmg of Seal Fate or the control of Hemo for 1v1s, but it can hold it's own. This build truly shines in 1v2s, particularly against melee oriented classes, due to blade flurry/riposte and in 1v1s versus mages of any gear level or build.
Imp ambush, imp BS, and four ways to break snares and roots is hard for any mage to overcome.
This movie contains a few 1v1s and a good number of 1v2s or worse. I will say straight up that it is extremely difficult to win 1vNs if there is even one GOOD player present. In general, it is MUCH harder to beat a single skilled/geared player than it is to win a 1v3 against a bunch of Corporals.
No saps, blinds, or thistle teas are used in this movie to help with the 1vNs (the PvP grind has made me very poor). I do drop healing potions like a lush though. :-)
SONG 1: Accelerate - Kode IV
Scene 1: 1v2 versus a paladin and a fury warrior
Scene 2: 1v1 versus a R13 mage (confined spaces are deathtraps for mages, you'd think they'd learn)
Scene 3: A string of fights involving two very bad hunters, a sulfy paladin, and a zerg. The scene ends with a lesson to lower level rogues: Don't chase L60 rogues no matter what their condition. This is probably the weakest clip here. I try so hard to get a paladin singled out, but the fights last so long, in general, that one side or the other almost always gets help before the end.
SONG 2: DIve-Right Jab - Swamp Terrorists
Scene 4: Flag return versus rogue and mage. Mage AFKs out at 30ish HPs resulting in a 1v1 against his replacement, a hunter.
Scene 5: Opens with proof that I too can kill players who never dismount as I've seen in many other rogue movies. Results in a 1v1 against a R13 spinal reaper warrior with a mage for an intermission.
Scene 6: Back-to-back kills versus an average rogue and fury warrior.
SONG 3: Thorns - :wumpscut:
Scene 7: 1v1 versus a warrior with some help
Scene 8: 1v2 versus a bad warrior and a very pissed off mage
Scene 9: OMG WORLD PVP! 1v1 versus an UTB warrior
Scene 10: 1v1 versus a former R14 rogue whose hemo hits just as hard as my backstabs :(
Scene 11: 1vN involving two warriors and two rogues
SONG 4: Osophagusvaritzen - Flugschadel
Scene 12: Defending a bunker against an AQ 40 Fury warrior with Lifegiving Gem
Scene 13: 1v2.5 versus two rogues and a z-axis exploiting hunter pet.
