Movie Summary
I said I would never post another movie here again.

I lied.

Actually, I was contemplating quitting WoW back then. I did end up taking a two month break and checked out LoTRO. It's a beautiful game, but looks aren't enough to make a great game. The monster play feature looked promising, but after doing some it seemed like anyone could just run away if they wanted to with little to no way of stopping them.

So, I'm back playing WoW. It has the best fantasy PvP system available at the moment. However, I am keeping my eyes on Warhammer and AoC.

Halfway through putting this movie together I checked out the Worldcraft Model Viewer and it has inspired me to try to become a better movie maker.

Although, I didn't get a chance to put it to much use in this movie my goal is to try to release a series of movies over the summer and try to become better at making movies and entertaining rather than just trying to become a better player or show off.

I tried something a bit different with this movie. I've cropped out all of my UI compenents to make it more cinematic but also to free up some usage of special effects. I've done this before on a smaller scale and some people seemed to really dislike not being able to see the UI. I'd like to get some feedback on that if possible so I know whether to include the UI or not in the future.

IMO, there isn't really much to learn from my UI. People who have seen my previous movies know I have everything bound. Nothing is clicked. What is missing is the combat log though, which I know some people might like to see. Also it might be disorienting not be able to see the health meters. Anyway, l'd be thankful to hear your opinion on this.

As far as content, I've always *tried* to find the hardest competition available to me. If I see a former R14 or some guy running around in gladiators I'm going to stalk them and try to single them out. This can be a very frustrating process. Sometimes I never get them alone. Sometimes I do but one or the other of us gets zerged during the fight. Sometimes I do and the GD battleground shuts down during our fight.

Nonetheless, I was able to isolate several R14s and gladiator-geared people for this movie. Now, these are not the best of the best. The best arena-geared people I fought in this movie came from around the 1800-2100 arena rating range with 100-200 points of resilience.

So, (in theory) they aren't the best... but they aren't complete slouches either.

It's not from a lack of wanting or trying that I don't have people with higher arena ratings in this movie. In fact, I actually isolated the team leader of what was at the time the #1 5v5 team in my battlegroup for a 1v1 while in WSG. That "fight" didn't make it into this movie, but it will make it into my next movie.

In any case, I didn't really have many problems competing with people in the 1800-2100 range of gear, in general. Sure, I lost some fights... but I won most of them.

I'm not saying their isn't a problem with rogues 1v1 in the high resilience game. I think there is. But, it doesn't seem to show up until the 200-300 range perhaps.

As far as rogues sucking in 5v5. Well, rogues have *always* kind of sucked in group v. group battles when compared to what other classes can do in those situations.

Build: No-burst hemo/premed (11/12/38)

I really didn't want to go around owning low HP people with big crits. It's fun, but it's not what I'm looking for in a movie. I prefer to see fights where both sides get some shots in, and both have to perform some counters to win.

So, instead of going with a more traditional coldblood build, I opted for survivability and nabbed improved sprint and cheat death.

Now, since this build lacks burst, it's not really the best build for taking out classes that can turtle and heal (resto shaman, for example - which you will see in the movie). It's also not the best build for winning 1vNs.

No burst means you don't take people out fast. Not taking people out fast means you are recieving damage from more than one source for a longer period of time. Now, I do have a few 1vNs in this movie, but most fights are 1v1s. Hopefully, the 1v1s have enough tough opponenets to keep your interest.

If you are looking for a "big crit" movie, then this is not the movie you are looking for. If you are looking for a movie with longer fights involving some strategy, then hopefully this movie won't completely dissappoint you.

And, once again -- this is not a best of the best movie. This movie is for the more typical rogue.
