This is my second publicly released video. For those that don't know me, I play a warrior that transferred to Tichondrius (BG9) mid-season 2 and earned the title of Merciless Gladiator there. After playing on Tich a bit after the start of season 3, I transferred to Kil'Jaeden (BG9) in order to join a raiding guild, but stayed on Bloodlust to still compete in arenas. This is where the searching began.
I wasn't particularly interested in starting up my 2v2 and 3v3 progress just yet, so I had to think of a 5v5 comp to run. I had ran 2346 all of season 2 and the start of season 3, and I simply wanted a change of pace and potentially make an even more powerful comp. However, the comp I desired, combined with Kil'Jaeden's limited PvP talent pool, made creating this team a bit trickier than I had expected. After a bit of interviewing and recruiting, I introduce to you, nerd stompers:
I won't say I invented this comp (which I've named as the "trifecta" comp), but I have definitely never seen anyone run it to any degree of success (or at all for that matter). I saw the potential in it and had to see for myself, and the results have spoken for themself, climbing to rank 3 in the battlegroup after only 2 weeks of playing.
All matches in the video were recorded at 2200+ rating including games against the top ranked team (teh supeh gosus) whom we have a strong winning record against. Keep in mind, however, that this video isn't here for a display of skill or crazy finesse, but rather to show our team and myself in action after a long break since my last video was released last season. That's not to say that you won't notice many little things that I believe are executed very well in this video, but it's not a video where I edit or exclude any fight in which a mistake happens, because mistakes always happen. The top teams are the ones that can learn and overcome.
Muse - New Born
Celldweller - Frozen
Breaking Benjamin - Blow Me Away
DJ Tiesto - Adagio for Strings
Loreena McKennitt - The Highwayman
Evanescence - My Immortal
All music was used per request of friends and arena partners. If you don't like it, mute it and play your own.
That being said, I hope everyone enjoys the video. As always, feedback and comments, positive or otherwise, are welcome.
