So I was going through my Fraps folder the other day wanting to clean it out, and I found a bunch of clips that I hadn't ever watched after recording - and low and behold, they were from the middle of season 4. I knew I couldn't let these go to waste, and with no real strategic PvP looking to be incoming, I decided to put them to use and make a video.
My past two videos were fun to make and exciting for me when I uploaded them for the first time, but the more I watched them, the more I realized how terrible they were, and how much more I had to learn. The clips contained in this video were all above 2100, most of them being between 2200 and 2300.
All I can really say is s4 was the most fun for me by far. I had played with half a dozen rogues before Braken. We peaked the season at 2304 about a month and a half in, hitting rank 2 - winning the last game to put us at #1 came down to a fear resisting or not...and it resisted. Braken took a job offer in Vegas, rendering him unable to play for a month. We disbanded our team and remade it when he got back the last day of the season, only to break 2200, but then tank it to a slew of mage / rogue teams in the last few hours when we tried going for top 10 again. Nevertheless, we pushed the comp to its limits, played probably 2000 games together over the season, and just overall had a blast. And that's what the game is about, isn't it?
