What is Tortun and why should I use it?

Tortun is used for displaying High Quality video streams through a Peer to Peer protocol. By using this software, you help other users watching the same videos as you do by contributing a portion of your bandwidth and they will do the same in return.

You are also supporting the author (by distributing his/hers movie in High Quality he/she does not need to upload it to ~5 other sites) as well as the site itself.

I am unable to install Tortun, it says I need .NET Framework. Where can I download it?

You are most likely missing the .NET framework. Download it from here.
I have downloaded Tortun but the stream does not start. Why?
Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. Also remember to restart your browser completely after you have installed and upgraded. You need at least version 9.0.115.0 to view the stream.
I have installed/upgraded/restarted all the necessary software but it still does not work...

Will you support HD format (720P) in the future?
Yes! In a not distant future we will support streaming of movies in HD (for movies rendered in 720P or higher)
Will the performance of the network/software improve?
We are working very close with the creators of this software to make it the best it can be. Right now a new version is released every other day.
Do you have any plans to for rewarding loyal members using this software?
Definitely! We have plans for random draws where you can win Premium Membership, hardware, software and Beta Access. More details about this will be unveiled later.
I want a HQ stream on my movie! Why does movie x not have a HQ Stream?
We are currently rendering all newer movies to take advantage of this new software. It may take a week or so before we are up to speed. The plan is for ALL new movies to have a HQ stream. It does not matter if the author has Premium or not.
Do you have any plans to make a Mac version of this software?
Definitely, once we have a stable Windows version we will port it to Mac.
The movie keeps rebuffering for me. How do I fix that?
First make sure your Internet connection is fast enough to real time stream in this quality. You need at least 1 Mbit download speed. Starting out, the performance of the network may not be able to handle the strain; but hang in there, with your help we will soon have a super strong high performance network.
My Internet connection can't handle this High Quality. What now?
If there is enough demand for a lower quality version we will provide it.
I want to download the full quality version. How do I do that?
