Hello there!

This is my third video in what is a verrry slowly updated series of my hunter soloing heroic instances. This time I'm in Heroic Vortex Pinnacle!

I had to skip the second boss and two cloud princes; I couldn't handle them with the gear I have. Everything else died a slow and merciless death at the hands of Munch, magnificent fighting turtle.

I don't use aspect of the wild in this instance because it is currently bugged; it stacks twice on my pet, giving it something crazy like 600 nature resistance in total. That's something of an unfair advantage in my opinion, so I stuck to using other aspects.

I added a bit of machinma for funsies; let me know what you think of it, and whether I should stick with it for my next movie (whenever that may be).

My Gear: Heroic blues, with 3 epics from reputation, 2 crafted boe epics and the epic engineering goggles.

I also used two pieces of level 70 Tier 5 for the majority of fights. The stats are atrocious, but the 2 piece set bonus heals my pet for 15% of the damage I deal, which is invaluable.

I used the TBC rocket boots Xtreme to jump the gap between the second and third platforms; the rocket boot tinker is too slow.

The first time I killed Assad, I wasn't recording my user interface! I made the same mistake with 2 of the Neferset mob packs, so I had to go back and kill them again; the clock jumps forward a bit for these fights.

I specced survival for the trash, for the crowd control. I was marksman for the bosses, for the extra self-heal of chimera shot.

This instance run took around 12 hours to complete, 14 if you include me having to go back and kill Assad and a couple of trash packs again.

I assume this is some sort of first. A I-soloed-a-Cata-heroic-but-not-quite-because-I-skipped-a-boss-and-a-trash-pack kind of first.
