Protection paladin solos the 45-minute Baron Rivendare run in Undead Stratholme. Enjoy!

Commentary:

I'm using 4/5 D3 gear here, and t4 gloves. The shield is from nightbane (not the tanking one). The mace is the S2 spell dmg mace. Don't remember exactly what the rest of the gear was, but the mixture gave me right around 490 in both defense and spell damage--a nice combination for a run like this.

For the stealth runs, I alternated using invisibility potions and lesser invisibility potions, because they each have seperate cooldowns. I think I maybe could do it with no stealth, but I was shooting for efficiency.

While the baron fight was far from easy, it wasn't nearly as close as it looks at the end. I did bubble, but really only for dramatic effect. By that time in the fight, I could see that I had clinched the victory, so I decided to break off from my gameplan and just take the most direct route to the end.

The significance of this run is not the soloing of baron--that part is pretty straightforward. It's the fact that it was done within the 45-minute time frame per baron's ultimatum (actually, I had about 5-6 minutes left when I engaged rivendare). Granted, that still is not the greatest thing ever done, but for a paladin, it's a nice challenge, I think.

Many are saying, this is old hat/played/etc. I'm sure it is, but I'm just not seeing very many videos of it. I looked here, on google, and on youtube, and only found one other video, but it runs in real time and has some strangely unnecessary pulls. I'm not big on style points, though, myself. I think a win is a win is a win. I just wanted to do the run my own way, and try to present it in a way that I found entertaining.

This is my first WoW video, and the only editing software I had to work with was Windows Movie Maker. My gear, my skills, and my editing, I know, are all fairly plain. That's actually the point. My creed, if you will, is that average people, with average gear and average abilities, can pull off some pretty cool stuff if they have the desire to push their own limits..
