This video has been in the works for a long time, before we were even in Black Temple. My guild cleared up to Illidan and we have been working on him for probably close to 4 weeks now, maybe less maybe more. Point is this video is long due.

It's in the same style as the Hyjal video I recently released, both were supposed to be 'Vista' concepts. Cool scenic views of each boss, excluding the final instance boss (Archimonde and Illidan) for which they would earn their own separate full videos. This video turned out a little better then I was hoping, because a lot of the beginning shots and ideas were already mostly done months ago. It feels weird to not have anything to add for that long, but it looks like most of it still holds up for me.

My current computer would take 5 days to render a 1280x720 version, and trust me I have been wanting to churn out HD versions for months now. The dodgy camera is due, again, to my comuter... I run at 10fps max without recording in fights so it's hard to get smooth footage sometimes. It's most noticeable at the end of the Bloodboil segment. Needless to say I'll be happy with my new comp when I can record and still play the game at over 30+ at least, if not 60 etc. I've done a few small illidan teaser things already, check them out from the link I provided in the videos description. Thanks for the comments so far.

I like your consistency in editing towards giving us that 'epic' feel, without UI, lots of numbers or people shouting. To cement this you could have put in some of the quotes from the bosses, or maybe even used the cinematics. The wobbly camera did irritate a little - try to work with the big panoramas if you can. The worm's eye view on the essences encounter worked very well. And finally, this movie deserves very good image quality like that provided by the H264 encode. You should learn more about that on your next production, which I feel has a lot of potential.

We have downed illidan already, his video is goin to be a seperate one all together. This video was just about the travel to him, much like the hyjal clear video to archimonde was. Great work as always joe, Cant wait for you to put up the illidan kill!!!
