Here is a little video to show how much an arcane mage can deliver in burst. This is only solo, with mana Regen compliant stuff. No pot/gems etc used at all, no raid buff. Not an attempt to sustain a dps but only to show what kind of burst an arcane mage can deal with. Enjoy

Edit : Not an attempt to sustain a dps but only to show what kind of burst an arcane mage can deal with. For those who commented about sustaining this kind of dps : I got 430mp5 FSR Unbuff. Counting compos+Raid buff, it's up to 650mp5 minimum. 400mp5 more dealed by the shadow priest. 200mp5 dealed by the shaman totem. 25mp5 by the Mark Of Defiance, 30mp5 by the alchemist sorcerer Stone. 1305mp5 effective in raid, 60% in effective mp5 casting. At final, spamming arcane Blast all the way would be equal to an aproximate 200mps lost, without pot/gems/eventual innervate. with a 15k mana pool, it can be sustained for 15000/200 = 75 sec. Mana pot + gem = 6k mana more every 120sec, which is 250mp5, or 50mps. So effective lost in Arcane Blast spamming is, 150mps. 15000/150=100 sec. 20 sec more and you got your Mana Pot/Gems. Evocation is not calculated mp5 either. With a very low amount of Well done frostbolt, you got all you need for mana regen, and easyly can sustain a 2k dps like dps, up to more than 5 min non-stop. Might be a very little less for the 6 min brutallus cap, which could need an innervate to sustain this 2kdps. THIS was not an attempt to show a sustained dps. This was a volontary mana burn. If I wanted to show a sustained dps, I would have do so. My gear is fully regen/mana pool oriented, full pure stat in order to receive maximal from bok/evocation etc etc... Not a Spell Damage/crit gear. But It do the job really well, and with confort Thanx you..
