Hey yall, the name is Strfry. With the launch of WOTLK I had transferred my warrior from Andorhal (PVP) to Thunderhorn (PVE) for reasons I'm still trying to figure out, LOL-- named Breitling atm in the movie. Roughly a year and a half ago I saw my first Prot pvp movies on WCM (Mourne 1: Shield Bash Warrior and Akilleuz: Panzar Come Back) and have been fascinated by the play style. Since then, I have enjoyed the works of Murth, Horkey, Taith and most recently Azzinoth who focused strictly on prot pvp. For those of you unfamiliar with the spec and approach to pvp, Protection is considered the harder route for a warrior. To me, its a spec that truly makes you feel like one. However, with the new talents the expansion has to offer, being prot for pvp is slowly becoming more appealing.
My goal of the video was to display a combination skill/tricks and overall vibe with the music.
Although some of the opponents I face are not the greatest, the idea was to highlight protection warriors' capabilities. You may also notice that I do not feature some classes. With the way the game has changed some of those fights require a more appropriate setting like duels or arena (especially healers are a pain to fight correctly with the lack of MS lol). On a side note, I do not zoom, slow, or mention some tactics in order to keep the movie flowing so be aware.
I'd also like to point out that the video was made from about one week of hitting up BGs--2nd week of S5. Instead of waiting weeks or months to get the perfect scenes, I thought it best to show everyday encounters. If you�re like me and watch videos to help improve your game than I hope this helps. Also, since I am currently on Winter break from my studies I have more time now to push out a movie aside from work. Mistakes are made (using up silence DR or pressing reflect on accident) but that�s everyday play, right? =)
Anyways, I made the movie with Windows Movie Maker so forgive the lack of uber special effects and editing-- I worked with what I have. I plan to make more movies in the future, feature better fights/opponents, and improve editing. So nuff said, I hope you enjoy the show!
